eXtra Voice Recorder for Mac and iOS

What do you use to record audio, take notes and have them synced on Mac and iOS? Voice Recorder is good, Simplenote is awesome and Dropbox can sync all of that.

What if I tell you that there’s an app for your Mac and iOS device that can do all that and a lot more.

eXtra Voice Recorder for Mac has mostly positive reviews and that’s because it has a straight forward interface that gives you lots of options on a small footprint. You basically get a Record button in the upper left corner, right next to a timer and the Setting button. Below that you have a search box and a tree structure to look for your notes.

But that’s not all. You can organize the recordings, edit them and even pause and continue a recording. The notes can take text input, but you can also add photos and set bookmarks for the important stuff in the audio.

You can get all that for $4.99

The iOS app is $2.99, but there is a Free version of it if you want to try before you buy it. Now this looks like a full fledged audio recorder and editor that will fit right in you toolbox for a lecture or meeting.
